Rant Rant Rant!

I called the H.O. this morning to ask about my visa,
and was passed on to a lady whom, out of protocol, decided to ask me a few 'security questions.'

After the Date of Birth, Address and "Is this your application?" questions,
she decided to ask me "Where were you born?"

"Kota Kinabalu"

"Can you spell that for me please?"

"K-O-"

(Lady interrupts me sharply)

"Right I'm sorry but that is not the place of birth you applied with. This is clearly not your own application that you are calling for."

"!!!? What?! Look, it's either Kota Kinabalu or Sabah."

"I'm sorry, I have asked you earlier and you gave me the wrong answer. I will no longer proceed with this request. (Insert matter of fact tone) You really should know your own place of birth."

"Really, lady?! Like how you should know how to be a civilised human being with manners?
I understand that I'm one of those foreigners that you probably look down on for over-populating your country but do remember that it's us genuine applicants who are paying for your food on the table and here you are talking to me like there's a thorn wedged in your (Insert profanity here please)."

OK, Duh, of course I didn't say that but I'd like to imagine myself saying it!

Sadly, this world is not 100% "freedom of speech" like it claims to be because my calls were recorded and this lady was not letting me speak, (plus this is the H.O. and my visa depends on these people) so I had to resist the urge to explode on the phone that my screwed over visa application was done nearly half a year ago and of course I would not remember if the form stated CITY or STATE.. which in my case is two different names on the same map!

Honestly, my experience with them has been terrible and
they actually make JPN look super efficient and caring for once.

#Malaysiaboleh.
