Stepping out of the salon with a great cut, great blow dry and great confidence.
Sadly, the great hair appearance only lasts for a day--after that my hair will have its mood swings again and misbehave. Still, I'm happy to say I've gained more confidence in hair dressers now after nearly 20 years of bad hair cuts and I don't fidget in my seat with clammy hands anymore, or prey on the hair dresser's reflection with hawk eyes fearing that they might shave my head by mistake (no joke, half shaved head is the in thing now!)
Might actually go for a more daring cut next time!

21.
I find that Brighton tends to be so different and almost magical when I'm out and about at night.
I don't know how to explain it, but there is just a certain calmness that you get from exploring the Lanes-- the labyrinth in the heart of Brighton-- at night. The pathways are just about wide enough for 2 people, and walking through the dimly lit paths within the network of little shops, you can just about make out the dark display windows. Restaurants and bars dotted within the labyrinth become focal points for signs of life, so whilst it's quiet and secluded enough to be lost in your own thoughts, the sight of youngsters scuffling about to their favourite bars remind you that it's never too quiet to the point where fear starts to make up worst case scenarios in your mind.
