19

I love thunderstorms when I get to bury myself deeper under the duvet with no rush of getting up.
I love the aroma that coffee grounds release when they mix together with hot water-- that quaint, bitter yet comforting smell that marks the start of a new day.
It makes me smile when I see elderly couples holding hands, helping each other get to the other side of the crossing slowly without getting blown off by the South-westerly wind. Or even something as simple as an elderly man putting his protective arm around his aged wife-- it reminds this young, cynical heart that there is such a thing as timeless and lasting love.
I love the way that a dog can look at you with such soulful, adoring and loving little eyes,
such is their gift that they need not acquire the language of Man to express their love.
The first bite of food after a bout of hunger is always heavenly,
but  I have to say the most satisfying relief comes from being able to use the loo after holding it in too long for comfort.
I am thankful for honest friendship in which censorship is not necessary.
More than anything I take pride and joy in being able to start and finish a task, despite its painstaking process, because as a typical Saggitarius one of my bad traits is constantly leaving things halfway done!
