to have her bathroom drainage screwed?
It's like being a heroin addict denied of his substance.
If you only knew how miserable I am right now sitting in front of my laptop typing this out
in my pajamas, overwhelmed by my greasy hair and the fact that I haven't and will not be able to take a shower until the plumber (HOPEFULLY) comes and fixes the mess in the pipes tomorrow. Until that happens I am not going to step out of this flat or come in contact with civilization because at this moment i feel like scrubbing my skin off with the fish de-scale-er.
Stupid bathtub has not been draining since I washed my clothes in there this morning
so I decided to be a DIY Plumber myself and got- of all things- a purple plunger which did nothing to help. (I'm not being prejudice towards girly looking man tools but you have to admit, a purple plunger? to the industrial black plunger? what were you thinking, kim?)
Domestos Bleach did nothing except make my entire bathroom smell like an overly chlorinated swimming pool. Made poor attempts to stab the drain hole with a metal coat hanger but all in vain. Resorted to getting quotes from a plumber and discovered it is 95pounds for a half an hour check (excluding tools and machinery that they MIGHT use).
95 pounds!!! Jesus Christ.
Des, Dad or whoever is reading this, I suggest you stop all those crazy lengthy courses or work and take a plumbing course here in UK because I am telling you money falls from the sky for handymen around here.

My next door neighbour was so sweet to come and tamper with my disgustingly clogged bath tub even though all I wanted was to borrow a proper industrial plunger. Even he couldn't help and told me to contact landlord, who can only get back to me tomorrow.
So after going around in circles I will have to be patient with this disgusting feeling and
hopefully, hopefully, be able to drown myself in that shower tomorrow.

Eurgh! Kesian Kim. Definitely tanya landlord. For our old house he usually bears the costs for these kind of things, unless memang clearly the fault was caused by something we did. The only similar (but not as bad) experience we had dulu was when the washing machine just decided to not work. Gile seksa kot baju semua kotor. I think we washed by hand for while, tapi nasib baik dryer was still working. ^^
ReplyDeleteaghhh i know i hate when these things happen! today i called them and they told me earliest they could do it maybe fri/sat/sun i was like NOOOO so i ended up going to the uni gym to half heartedly work out and then get the best shower ever lol. I might have to do the same tomorrow :S
ReplyDeleteWe dont have a washing machine btw, been sneaking off to my previous halls to do laundry but since hsemate has gone back home, no one to drive to the halls to do laundry so ive been handwashing since...forever :S. i feel your paiiiinn..
Oh no... =( Has it been fixed yet?
ReplyDeleteI laughed when reading about the purple plunger. I didn't know they come in colours other than black. I'm proud of your effort though! If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't have put in 20% of your effort.
And you hand wash all your clothes?! I salute you!
lol all it takes is google to tell you how to DIY anything :). no, it hasnt yet, im really praying today that the guy will be able to make it, if not i'll just have to take another shower in uni. thing is on sat/sun, the uni is closed so there WILL be a problem if they dont fix it by today.
ReplyDeleteYes, hand wash :S kuno man..
