hectic

Hectic
Is probably the appropriate term to describe the state of life right now.
The week of lazing around is now long forgotten, replaced by a regime that consists of
waking up fairly early, running errands,
going on site to help build our degree show exhibition space (tasks range from something as trivial (and exciting!) as power-drilling screws to the more violent activity of hammering and beating the crap out of wood-- and unfortunately, my own knuckles-- to dismantle reusable crates),
rushing to work looking like a builder with sawdust and other crap hanging onto me,
standing for about 5-8 hours wishing for the clock to lie to me and tell me it's home-o-clock,
going home all pooped up smelling of food, and looking like a tree just threw up on me,
and finally getting told off by the housemate to go to my room after falling asleep parked in a pretzel position on the couch-- with the TV watching me.

But I like hectic.
Hectic makes me feel like I've made full use of a day,
it makes me feel like I'm always on the go
as opposed to the sluggish, sleepy little ball of duvet that I usually am,
Hectic gives me no time to over-think,
and leaves no room for feelings to tamper with me,
hectic makes me really appreciate days that I have to myself.
