Workmode switched on

famous last words from the last tutorial
This is how you (de)motivate yourself to stay up all night, 7 days a week, and push yourself to point break in this course.
You either die trying or don't make it at all.
This is the place where you see 20-40something year olds cry from so much pushing.
Architecture knows no sympathy, and has no place for feelings.
It doesn't care if you spend 22 hours of your life at the drawing board,
it doesn't care if you result to drugs to keep awake,
it doesn't care about the many trips to the A&E department when you slice yourself by mistake with the scalpel, it doesn't care if you get diagnosed for anxiety for the first time in your life.

Well don't expect it from me, my love.

Not a single tear will be allowed to fall on your behalf.
7 months from today I will shove my degree in your sorry buttcrack, Architecture,
even if it kills me in the process.

  1. I've also written down some quotable critiques from tutorials/crits before... Some tutors just have a knack for word choice. =S

Do most people still stick to drawing boards and pencils? I was chatting with Icam yesterday and he hasn't used autoCAD either! Personally I dah serik nak pegang scale rule and getting black pencil-dusty hands. @_@

  2. ahh tell me about it, some are harsh!! one of my friends brought a sketchbook to the tutorial and got told "i see you're planning to repeat the third year" just because he didnt have properly presented stuff :S.

surprisingly we're using Vectorworks, not autoCAD..but i think most of the time we just use vectorworks for the final pages before crit/hand in..at the early stages of the project we still do hand sketches, dunno why our lecturers prefer hand/ mix media drawings more than computer ones!
