I love that every time i venture into town during my off days,
I rediscover my love for Brighton.
Whether it's just taking a stroll down the (insanely windy) pebbled beach,
having angry sea gulls stare at me with their little beady eyes,
(cancelled out by laid back people in the background)
avoiding pigeons from shitting on my head,
going into all kinds of quirky shops in the Lanes:
Vintage, little boutiques, art galleries/shops,
independent bookstores with an amazing archive of quirky art books,
little independent camera shops that sell everything from polaroids to lomographs to triptych art canvases- places that inspire even the most technical person to go home and splatter paint on the canvas,
having coffee in little cafes,
or even passing by wall after wall of graffiti (not just your average EFF YOU BEETCH graffiti, they're proper artist masterpieces),
standing in a crowd watching incredible street performers,
laughing at cross dressers making their way to their hen/stag parties,
people watching: couples, straight or not (very liberal social rights) , enjoying their day out together..
Brighton will always be home away from home.
